Prizes is a collaboration with Katja Mater. We did this project in the city of Hoyerswerda as part of the European Postgraduate Residency , Which took place in a part of the city that was to be demolished.
As a way of paying our last respect to the buildings we decorated them with big images of medals, prizes and decorations. These were mostly obtained in the communist era by tenants of the buildings. We photographed them in the homes of their owners.
